LOTs and LOTS of money. Does he want to drive dirt or asphalt ? What class and how old is he? If he is younger start off in go carts. At the age of 8 go carts is his best bet. It is a good way to learn how to drive and how to set up a cart . It is a basics compared to full size cars. Here is my teams web site for you to look at. http://www.mikebittinger.net . We are a 410 sprint car racing team that races in Pa . Get him to the track and meet as many people as he can. There is an unwritten rule in racing. It is not what you know it is who you know. There is so much truth to that statement.

first he needs to get his license. second. alot of money and practice. he did it cuz his dad was a race car driver

yes money is a factory or if your father is a top race car Diver that would help.
go Kart is a cheap wary to start Before trying to Move up to full Auto.
Do your area lave any Dirt trackies or Road tracks Dirt tracks are among the Cheapest doing practice or open track time.
